Texas and September fun!

Well another month and more time away from home. In September Scotty had his last interview rotation in San Antonio so it is a huge relief to finally be done! For those of you who don't know Scotty is going into Pediatrics and wants to specialize in Gastroenterology. He still has his residency to decide if that is what he wants to specialize in but for now that is the plan. We are excited and anticipating graduation but sad we are moving away from what we have made our home.
In San Antonio we were lucky enough to stay with my brother and his family and we had so much fun!

I took this picture before we left to celebrate the fact that all three of my kids are finally in the same diaper size. For a while I was having to buy 3 different diaper sizes you can only imagine the looks I would get at the grocery store, especially living on the east coast. Of course Barrick is now potty training so to be down to two kids in diapers will be awesome!!
This is what the ride down to San Antonio looked like. I drove most of the time because ever since I got pregnant with the twins I get so motion sick I can't handle being a passenger. Scotty would take over at night when it was dark so I could sleep. The kids were AMAZING, a 26 hour drive is a long time and they were such troopers. I really was amazed at how good they were!
Here is Lilly trying to fall asleep. On the way there and back Lilly only cried one time and it was because she had a stinky diaper on. I know amazing right??

Barrick being his cute little self. Good thing he is good at video games because I don't even want to think of how many hours he spent playing on Scottys i touch.

Here is Liam, he by far had the hardest time but even he was better then I anticipated any of them being.

Of course when we got there we were welcomed with a nummy dinner helping hands, and a big portion of there house just for us! It was so nice to have my sister in law Andrea there to talk to during the day; with 3 kids being so little I don't get out much by myself so to have some adult interaction was so good for me! I needed this month to gain some sanity back!
The take out runs, date nights, tv nights, late night snacks, talks until way too late, and most of all those 4 kids of yours made our stay absolutely perfect!! We love you guys so much!! Thank you for putting up with our crazy family and for being such great examples to us!! We miss and love you guys so much!

While we were there it was our 7 year anniversary and Austin and Andrea watched the kids so we could go out. Scotty planned the date and we went to the Tower of the Americas which you can see in the 2nd picture and went to dinner at the Chart House. It was so good and the restaurant was amazing. The restaurant is at the top of the tower and the outside wall is a huge window and the restaurant rotates completely around in 1 hour. It was beautiful to eat looking out over the city and to have a changing view!

Another big event that happened while we were there was my nephew Hyrums baptism. He was sweet enough to wait 2 months so we could be at his baptism, so of course my parents came out and we had such a great weekend just spending time together.
Here is a picture of Lulu and Barrick with Gpa.
Hyrum got to pick a restraunt for his celebration so we went ot Red Robin. Here is some of the crew.
Hyrum and little Lilly, isn't this the most precious picture!
Hyrum on his big day! Don't they have the cutest family?
Hyrum we are so proud of you for the decision you made to be baptized we love you and thank you for sharing such a special day with us!

Of course between all of these big events we had a lot of fun outings, and just a lot of fun goofing around.
Here is Scotty being the horse for all of the kids. If you can't tell these kids loved him, and sadly more then me. Of course he did some bribing for there love with candy, games and gifts, but oh well at least Scotty and I are a package deal and when they get him they have to get me.
Here are some pictures at Hyrums baseball game! Barrick LOVED it, and kept telling me all night he wanted to play like Hyrum.

We also went down to the river walk and ate a this fun Mexican restaurant right on the river. Lilly was at the end of the table and got about every person who walked by to stop and talk to her. She is such a social, loud happy little thing!

Here is the whole group at the restaurant.

While there we also went to the Alamo, which was cool to see, but I think the snow cones were a bigger hit for the kids.

Last, we had a fun day at the park. Here is Lulu and Barrick; these two little ones were quit the pair, they loved each other but also loved to bug each other. It was pretty funny to see.

And of course we couldn't go to the park without a picture of these little ones. Lilly LOVED the swing and laughed the whole time she was on there. Liam on the other hand tolerated it.
Also while we were there Shauni and Colby came down from Temple to visit one weekend and it was so good see them! Unfortunately I was running a fever and sick the whole time to I had to spend most of my time in bed. All though I was out Scotty was able to go to a movie with them and go downtown to the River Walk and see the Alamo.
Here is a picture with all of the kids when they came back from the Alamo.

We had such an amazing month! Thank you so much again for everything we love you guys!!

August!

I had to hurry and get the next two posts done because we are off for one more away rotation in San Antonio so until then, here you go.

Well if you can't tell by this picture...
And this picture what the babies have been up to.

It is a whole lot of these coming in.
Yes those are Liam's first two teeth and we now call him our Vampire baby. Liam has had three break through and has 3 more that are just about there. Lilly has her two bottom teeth about in and looks like she may be stopping there for a while. So this last week has been full of crying, slobbering, fevers, a lot of late night Tylenol doses, diarrhea, and chewing and biting anything they can get there mouths on. Having twins teething at the same time isn't very fun, a long with Barrick getting a little bug and running a fever and yes having another febrile seizure.
Also in baby news, this little man is crawling, pulling himself up on furniture and thinks he is big enough to try and stand in the middle of the room, but gets frustrated when he can't.

Lilly on the other hand is still content bouncing up and down on her knees and still doing the crawl backwards thing. Give her a toy and she can sit and play without crying all day. She is our sweet easy little princess.
Here they are together! Man I love these two little ones.

Barrick on the other hand has had so much fun having daddy back he doesn't know what to do with himself. They have had a lot of daddy son days. They have gone to the movie, had shopping trips out, and just had fun wrestling and being together again.
Barrick one of the first nights we were home as happy as can be.
One of the many forts Barrick and Scotty have built together.
Here they are together.

Last, for Fathers day I bought Scotty tickets to the Redskins, Ravens game and it was this last weekend. We had so much fun, our seats were on the 4th row, of course we could not afford seats this good in the regular season so we decided to go to a pre-season game.
Here we are at the end of the game, yes the Redskins lost but it was still fun!
Here is a picture during the game.
Thanks Scotty for such a fun night! Love you!

Utah part 2.

Well here is a very cut down version of the rest of our Utah trip. We had so many fun times and memories with friends and family. Thanks so much for making our stay so wonderful!
Barrick and Khloe swinging.
Barrick wearing glasses like gma and playing piano together.
Every time she had glasses on Barrick had to get a pair on just like her. I love that cute little face.
Barrick having swim days with his cousins.
He also spent a lot of days reading stories, watching movies and playing little people in bed with gpa after he had his arm surgery.
Spending days at the park with cousins. I love having little helpers around to help me with the babies. I just wish I could have brought some of them home.

Setting off fireworks the night of the twenty fourth. Barrick LOVED them! I think he clapped and laughed all night!

Earlier in the day we went to Ogden and spent the day riding trains petting animals and having lunch with the family. Here is Barrick and Addy on the choo choo.
Waiting in line for the train. Don't you love Barricks face in this picture.
Barrick out watering flowers with gpa.
Liam discovering cereal of Barricks and as you can see he loved it!
Also visiting the Tree House museum and it was a hit. Barrick was as happy as can be.

Also while there my parents offered to watch the kids so I could fly down to Vegas and spend the weekend with Scotty! It was the first time I had ever been away from the kids overnight since Barrick was born, so I was a little nervous. It was the most amazing weekend ever, of course hard to be away from my sweet little ones but seriously the most needed break! We had so much fun it was like we were in our own world. We went to movies, saw a couple of Cirque shows and went to a bunch of nice restaurants. It came and went so fast! We were too busy enjoying ourselves that we didn't even get any pictures even though I had my camera with me the whole time. If you know me that is not like me at all; it was almost as if we didn't want to waist anytime bothering with pictures because it took time away from talking and being together. I will never forget this trip! Thank you so much mom and dad for taking care of our little ones. It is not an easy task to watch Barrick who is seriously like no other kid I know, fun but difficult and two 6 month old babies. We love you guys so much, we seriously cannot thank you enough!
The only picture we took the night before I left just so we have some proof that it happened:) Also thanks to Melissa and Jeff for having us for breakfast, it was so fun to get together!

Then we were able to get together with my friends, Brianne and Chelsey and spend a day at the park with all of the kiddos. It was so fun to get together and catch up and just love on each others kids.
Here are all the babies.
Barrick and Anisten feeding the birds.
Last, a night out with just the girls. We had so much fun I think we could have talked all night long!
We also got together with Melissa and had breakfast at her house the day before I left. I just love these girls thank you so much for being my friend the last 21 years you guys are truly amazing and such great examples me. My friend Brianne said it best on her blog, "The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart." -Elisabeth Foley

Overall our trip was amazing we are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. We love you all!

Summer Catch up.

While Scotty had a rotation down in Las Vegas this July we decided we would go out to Utah and spend time with our families. I have so much to blog about so I am going to have to split it up in a couple of posts. So here is the the first of hopefully not to many!

Here is our trip to the zoo with the Stewart side of the family!

Here is Gma Stewart with most of the grand kids. Barrick was obviously very worried about Abbi in this picture. When I was getting Barrick in the car to leave he just kept saying Abbi pying (crying).
Barrick and Gma dancing at the show.
Barrick and Gma looking at the elephants.
Abbi pushing Barrick in the stroller. Funny thing is, he is 1 year older then her. I know you would never think it.

Eating lunch! It was a very good day a lot of work with all of these little ones but SO much fun!!

4th (5th) of July Celebration. We had a fun filled day of swimming, shooting, food, and parades!
Lilly and Gpa after she was done swimming. Don't you love all the pack n plays in the back ground!
Barrick after he was done swimming. He actually fell asleep, and for Barrick that is basically impossible to do when there are people around. Lets just say he was TIRED!! It was cute after he woke up he started crying and told me he wanted Liam, so I brought Liam over and he sat and held his hand for about ten min. Just one of those parenting moments that melts your heart. I LOVE my boys!
Barrick shooting hoops in the pool!
Liam taking a swim.
Lilly having her swim time!

Here are all of the Nelson grand kids minus one at the Layton parade.

Barrick Addy and gpa.
I LOVE having nieces old enough to help me with my kids!
Just an example of how these two little ones were this day. Lilly as happy as can be and Liam, we will just say he had a long day! Poor little guy!
Just a side note. While we were frantically running around the house getting everything ready before we left for Utah I came downstairs and found this. Yes Barrick decided to paint his toe nails. After inspecting the room and the floor to make sure he didn't decide to paint the whole house, I discovered he has a talent for painting. The other foot looked just like this one and there was no polish anywhere else. Well he did this right as we were leaving for the airport so of course I threw shoes on him and off we went. Scotty wasn't too happy to find our son had his toe nails painted when he took his shoes off at the airport, but it definitely made for some fun conversations.

7 months!

Yes another month and Lilly and Liam are 7 months!! We are still in Utah and busy all day everyday, hence the lack of posts. We will be back in Maryland in week and will catch up over the last month.
Just a few bits on the two of them.
Lilly is finally getting hair, yes you heard that right she is getting hair!!
She is such a vocal little thing, she talks, jabbers, and squeals all day long. She is such an easy baby if it weren't for her I think I would have gone crazy a long time ago. Lilly is getting close to sitting up, but loves to kick and bounce in her bouncy chair. We just LOVE her.
Liam is all BOY!! It is funny to have two of the opposite sex at the same time. They eat, sleep and do everything the same, but they are so different. Liam is, like I said all boy he burps more, stinks more, is more violent and has more of a temper, but there is nothing sweeter then hearing his low, jolly (like Santa) laugh. I could make him laugh all day his laugh is so contagious. He is also sitting up pretty good now and is scooting all over the room. We love our little guy!
They are such a joy! We are so lucky to have them in our family!!

6 months!!

Yes, it came and went and Liam and Lilly are 6 months old!! Can't say much now because we are leaving for Utah in a couple of hours, but we love these two cuties and feel so blessed to have them in our family!
Side note: Yes, this is how Barrick insists on being wrapped up in his blankets. Let me tell you it is quite the process to go to bed! CRAZY little boy!
