Tag!

I didn't get the tag list on here, but pretty much write seven random facts about yourself. So here we go.

1-I always tell Scotty he is pretty, I understand handsome is a better fit but to me pretty means more. I know I am weird but I have done it as long as I can remeber! I do think he is pretty and I am lucky I get to look at him everyday!

2-I love having my hair down, but if you know me at all most of the time my hair is pulled back. The reason for this is I always over estimate how long it will take for me to get things ready to leave. I am a freak about being on time so of course if something is going to slide it will be doing my hair. Plus teaching dance for six years didn't really help. I had to have my hair pulled back everyday for work so I guess it just kind of stuck.

3-When Scotty and I sit and watch a movie in bed I always have to have one leg over both of his. He hates it so much but it is such a habit. He feels so trapped but it is the only way I get comfortable.

4-I love reading but it is all or nothing. If I don't really like the book it takes me months to read. On the other hand if I like the book that is all I do until I am done with it.

5-I love organized closets. This is fresh on the brain because I just finished reorganizing ours. Anyways I have everything organized by season, color, and how casual or dressy it is. I know I am a little over the top.

6-As weird as this may sound I love folding laundry! There is something so refreshing about the smell and how warm they are, and making them look neat and organized. All though I HATE putting clothes away! There is nothing more daunting then lugging all of the clothes upstairs and having to find hangers and putting all the clothes in twenty different places.

7-Even though I have Barrick I still get a little jealous when I hear that people are pregnant. I think with trying for so long and knowing what it takes for us to get pregnant I will always feel that way. Don't get me wrong I count my blessings everyday for my family, I know I am so blessed!! I just wish it were a little easier.

Ten months and a couple of firsts!

Barrick is now ten months old and I can't believe how fast he is growing up! He is such a huge blessing in our lives and I couldn't imagine life without my little buddy. Along with being a month older, he has had a lot of firsts this month. So I want to share some of those firsts.

As you can see Barrick had his first Halloween party. Every year at Scottys school they have a Halloween party for all of the students families and we have lunch, crafts, and they also get to go trick or treating around the school. It was such a fun afternoon and Barrick had a blast!! Here is Barrick with his friend Easton, the cute Red Skins football player and the nummy little smore.

Another first of Barricks is climbing the stairs. He has crawled very good since he was eight months old, but I always avoided the stairs. I just didn't even want to introduce him so then I didn't have to deal with it. But sure enough he found my little secret and that is all he wants to do all of the time.

Also as you can see in both of these pictures Barrick has a coat on! Yes it finally cooled down enough to wear a coat and I LOVE it!! There is nothing better then to go jogging on a crisp morning. So here is Barrick this last week all bundled up in his first big boy coat going out jogging with me.

Along with these firsts, Barrick had his first hair cut. He also learned how to stand by himself and he can do it quite efficiently. I just can't believe how much he is learning and growing each and everyday! I am so thankful for him, and I am so lucky to be his mommy.

Need I say more!

I was in the office and I heard rumblings and giggles coming from the bedroom and when I went in this is what I found. Scotty didn't realize there would be evidence of him sharing his blue sucker with Barrick. WOW do I have my hands full with these two.

Birthday and visitors!!

This last week was one fun filled week. Monday evening my parents flew into town!! My dad comes out for work quite a bit and his trip this week happen to fall over my birthday and my mom came along to spend the week with us. This couldn't have been a better time! This week in school Scotty had two really big important tests, so he literally had to study from early morning to as late as possible. They stayed until Thursay afternoon and it was so fun!! We had a blast!!Here is a picture at dinner one night at Bugaboo Steakhouse, so yummy!! My aunt and Uncle happened to be out at the same time for my uncles work, so we all got together for dinner.

Here is Barrick with his Gpa walking around everywhere! We think we have another Hyrum on our hands, Barrick couldn't get enough of playing with Gpa. Gpa was for playing and Gma for cuddling, he loved giving her kisses and cuddling up in her hair.

Just a picture with Gma and Gpa the day they left. He was pretty excited to see them this morning, he had been fussy all morning but once they walked in the door he started screaming and crawled as fast as his little legs could get over to them.

Here is a picture of us eating breakfast at the Amish Market, this is the BEST store ever!! My parents were able to get some good stuff here.

We also went to the pumpkin patch but my mom has all of the pictures, so that post will come later. Thank you so much mom and dad for coming out this was one memorable birthday.

Temple trip!

This last weekend Barrick and I were able to go with the primary in our ward to the DC temple. One nice thing about where we live, is that we are only twenty minutes away. It was a very fun activity and all of the kids loved it! Barrick loved having all new friends, there was not a minute that went by where he wasn't being entertained.

This is all of the kids who came, I was surprised this many were able to come! Here they are singing I love to see the temple.

In this last picture Barrick wanted so badly to climb up with all the other kids. He kept crawling up and singing/screaming with them during their song. I was so glad we were able to go because this was my last week in primary. I loved teaching all of these kids they were such a joy to be around. It is so fun to see them learn and grow. I learned so much more from these kids then they did from me. I will miss them! So I was glad to have one last activity with them.

Croydon Creek Nature Center!

The Nature Center was a hit, the kids loved it! They were able to touch animals furs, look at turtles, frogs, bees, snakes everything! Barrick loved it I didn't think he would care very much but he had a blast! So I decided to list his top favorite things

1-Barrick got to touch almost everything there, he loved the fur and wouldn't let it go!
2- Barrick got lots of loves from Savannah.

3-Barrick gave lots of loves to Easton! All though Easton didn't like it very much sorry Easton!

4-I would like to say he liked his loves from his mom but I was holding him for about three seconds and he was not having it. Fortunately we got this picture where he somewhat looked happy. He just wanted to go go go!

5-He had a fun walking buddy, he just loves Lucy! I love how he would not let go of Diana's pinky I just thought is was so cute!

But as you can see by the video this would have to be his absolute favorite, he sat here for about fifteen minutes screaming at the crickets. The funny thing is they were in there for the toad as lunch, but Barrick couldn't get enough of them. Also I love at the end of the video where Savannah comes in ready for a picture! I just love kids they are too fun! Thanks for the fun day!

Here it is!

Here is the ring Scotty gave to me for our anniversary! He got it about three sizes too big so I just got it back on Friday and I LOVE it.

Scotty is so thoughtful he has been looking for months, he wanted to get just the right one and I think he definitely chose the right one. I have to say I think he has pretty good taste! Thanks babe I love you!

Barricks teething toy!

Well for what seems like forever Barrick has been teething. Which hasn't been too bad, I have heard horror stories from people and for the most part Barrick has been pretty good. He stays pretty happy but of course puts everything in his mouth. This picture pretty much is what he looks like all day long. I have been surprised because he hasn't really needed any certain chew toy that I could notice, until this last week I noticed this....Yes that is his crib and yes those are teeth marks all over the inside of his crib! I was laughing so hard, I guess he had a chew toy all along and I just never knew. Silly boy!
