Cabin in Utah!

We had such a great time in Utah, we started out our vacation with a trip up to my parents cabin up in the Uintah Mountains!  It was the perfect couple of days!  My kids got spoiled by just my parents attention and we had such a great time!

 We always make a stop in Eavenston WY, we fill up on gas, eat some food and stretch our legs.  Lilly had a great time playing in the rocks and dirt why grandpa went and bought worms for fishing.

 Of course the first thing the kids want to do is pick out their bed. They were all pretty excited about it!

After checking out their beds they were off and climbing the mountains.  Picking flowers, throwing rocks, searching for animals.  This place with all the rocks our family calls Flinstone village.  Completley made out of rocks, we even found a Rock chuck living in a little hut we made a few years ago.  Barrick and Liam were so brave this was a very steap climb.

 Briony sat on this swing for hours! 

 Barrick on the other hand loved jumping from rock to rock trying not to land in the river.

 Briony thought she was big enough to climb like the big kids.

 I think the most anticipated activity for our entire vacation was fishing.  I was very nervous because rumor had it that the fishing wasnt very good this summer so I was just hoping that we would catch atleast one.  Need I forget I have an expert father for a fisherman, all three kiddos got a fish.  Yes they were tiny but hey a fish is a fish to a little kid.

One rule my dad always had when I was a kid was if you catch it you need to learn how to clean it.  It was hard for me but I learned.  Our kids are still to young for that, but our rule was you catch it you have to touch it!  The girls were the most aprehensive.  Briony LOVES animals and attacks any and all of them, but when it came to the fish she not so much.

For anyone who knows Lilly and her complete and utter fear of all creatures, this is pretty amazing!!  She is getting so much better I actually got her to pet a dog the other day!

My mom was nice enough to take Briony on.  She would have ran right into the river but she had to settle for just her little hand.

Last but not least, Gpa showing the boys how to clean and gut a fish.

Throwing rocks in the rivier is also a must!

Later that night we decided to do a fire pit and make smores.  We of course put the kiddos to work breaking up some kindling.  They were all so excited to try so many new things.  Plus we dont want them to turn out to be "YUPPIES"

Lilly loved the smores.  This picture cracks me up!!  She is all girl, but man alive with two crazy brothers she can really hold her own.

Along with seeing a Rock Chuck, Moose, deer, and catching fish, one day while going out on the patio a Humming bird flew in the house and got stuck.  It was quite amazing, we were able to catch it in a bowl and get it back outside.  Barrick was amazed! 

We also went on a lot of ATV rides.  There is nothing more fun then going out and seeing all of the beautiful sights.

 We went on a trip out with the three older kiddos, and sheep were being herded.  The kids got the biggest kick out of it.  They were all of the paths. 

 The trip was absolutly amazing!!  Thanks mom and dad that is exactly what we needed!!  With so much fun we wore these cute kiddos right out!
