TAG!!

I was tagged by Andrea and I quickly got it done before I am leaving for the summer. So lucky me everything is pretty clean. Here are the rules: Pictures of where you are and what you are doing. No touch ups and ten photos and five friends. I didn't get ten photos but you get the idea.

1- Self portrait. I can never be serious when I am alone in a picture I feel like such an dork!

2- What your kids are doing right now. (Barrick was supposed to be sleeping but this is what I found when I went in. He is such a happy little guy!)
3- Laundry pile. Mine is small because I will be gone for seven weeks. So it is all clean. YEAH!

4-Fridge- Very empty! Yet again due to being gone for seven weeks.
5-Kitchen sink.

6- Toilet. Or in our case the whole bathroom, one down fall of having a small bathroom.
7-Closet. Or at least a portion of the closet.

8-Favorite shoes. I really prefer bare feet, but I don't think everyone wanted to see my feet. But these are my new pair of shoes my mom bought for me and I love them!

9- Favorite room. I love being in my room! 10- Dream vacation. One of my dreams was to go to the Caribbean and we did that for our honeymoon. And it was everything I hoped it would be. The other would be to go to Europe and see all of the many amazing sites in as many countries as possible. I tag whoever wants to do it. I thought it was fun so hopefully some of you will do it.

Last, nothing to do with the tag, Scotty and I went to a BBQ fest down in DC this last weekend with the Caffees, and we had a blast. There was taste testing tables everywhere and there is nothing better then free food. It was a hot day, but fun to get out after a long school year. Scotty is finally done!!!

Also this last week we took Barrick to an opthamologist to get his eyes checked out to make sure nothing was wrong, which there wasn't, but the doctor told us the statistics on having eyes like Barricks are one in a million! So our little guy is truly "one in a million."

Success, pain, and visits!

Success!!! As you can see Barrick is swimming and he is loving it. It took him a little while to get comfortable with it but by the end he was having a blast! He was splashing and kicking he absolutely loved it! So thanks Diana for inviting us to go swimming we had so much fun!!

A picture of the kids, As you can see they are all preoccupied, Barrick with the water, Lucy eating her floaty and Bella getting aid from my swimsuit strap to get down the stairs.
Bella is always so concerned about the babies and making sure they have toys. This is Bella giving Barrick his keys and giving him kisses.
This is after we got out of the pool, Barrick would have stayed in all day, but it started to get cold so we all got out.
Pain!! As you can see Barrick had his 6 month appt. and he was a little champ. Barrick came in at a whopping 14 and a half pounds. 10th percentile. And his height was almost 29 inches, putting him about the 75th percentile, which means he is a skinny tall baby. When he got his shots it was much worse as far as the screaming he was not happy, but once I picked him up he was ok.
Visits!! Last, we have been lucky enough to have my dad come out and visit a couple of times this last month. He comes out to DC for business quite a bit and we love it!! Barrick had so much fun with his Grandpa, he was laughing and smiling at him all night. My dad also took us out to dinner at Benihanas it was nummy, and Barrick loved watching them make the food in front of us. We had such a fun night. Thanks dad we love you!!

New tricks!

As you can see Barrick has learned some new things. Last week he started doing this. He can sit up all by himself for quit a long time of course balancing with his hands. All though the last couple of days he has been sitting without his hands and he can do it for a little bit then falls. He is just learning so fast! I can't believe how big he is!! He can also roll over all the way and does it all day long, he loves to see the world from all different angles. A long with this he has got his first tooth coming in. I was denying it thinking he was getting sick, but sure enough you can see the little tooth coming in. I thought for sure he would be older! All of the kids in my family, and the nieces and nephews on my side all came in later. Must be those Stewart genes. So as you would probably guess I have had one drooly, whiny, baby all week. I would have to say I thought it would be a lot worse so I was pleasantly surprised. Barrick sitting up, sorry about the red eye.
Barrick and Easton sitting together at a BBQ. There was only one boy chair so Barrick got the princess one.

Happy Fathers Day!!

This year is Scotty's first official Fathers Day and I couldn't let it slip by and not express how grateful I am for him. It was a long road getting Barrick here and Scotty was the most amazing supportive husband. He did anything and everything to make it possible so we could have our little miracle. There is nothing Scotty wanted more then to have a huge family. He was known for it on his mission, that is all he ever talked about was being a dad. Through all of our trials in getting Barrick, Scotty never lost faith and was such a strength to me when I was feeling down. The day we had Barrick was the most special day of our lives, it was the 23rd of December and what an amazing time to have Barrick. I will never forget the moment when we saw him, we both just cried. We still look at him and can't believe he is ours. Scotty loves Barrick so much and loves showing him off to everyone. He is so proud of him! I can't tell you how many times after we put him to bed Scotty goes in and just watches him. Barrick loves Scotty so much!! Scotty can get him to laugh no matter what mood he is in. Once he walks through the door he gets so excited and kicks and laughs. Thanks for making me the happiest person ever, and thanks for being the most amazing daddy. We love you!
This is the day that Barrick was born. This is right after we got home from the hospital.

Scotty and Barrick sporting the Bjorn. This is how Scotty mows the lawn he loves having Barrick with him.
This is the most recent picture of them together. Scotty and Barrick in DC the day of the race.

We also wanted to wish our dads a Happy Fathers day. Thank you so much for your love and support. You two are the most hard working men we know and we wouldn't be where we are without you guys. Thanks for being the best examples of what Fathers should be. You are the best and we love you!

5K!!

Right now Barrick has been asleep for three hours I just woke up from a nap and of course Scotty is franticly studying because we all had a big day. Today I ran the Race for the Cure 5k in Washington DC and what a fun day! Our day started very early at 5 am and we rode the metro into the city and it was packed there was no moving once we were on, luckily our stop is the first so we were able to get on and have seats. There were thousands of people running this so we had to leave early and we were still a little late. We got there after the runners had already started so we were trying to run weaving in and out of all of the walkers. We ended up running most of the race on the grass or anywhere we could run. At the end they had food and goodie bags for the runners, and also Vanessa Carlton doing a concert. It was so fun!
It was such a neat thing to be out there with all different types of people and all sharing a common goal. The neatest thing to me was to see all of the survivors. It was so touching to see them proudly wearing there pink shirts. I can't count how many women I saw who were in the midst of chemotherapy and they were out there walking and supporting such an amazing cause. I want to do this every year!
Of course I have a ton of pictures like always.

Barrick and I right before the race.
Ashely and I at the end of the race, we were running on the sidewalk but we jumped up on the street at the end so we could cross the finish line.
Diana, Ashley and I with the kids at the end of the race. Barrick was so tired!

Here is another one of us. We were sad Heather couldn't run with us!
Here is one of the three of us.

This is after Barrick woke up, he was much happier after he got a little shut eye.

Here is one of my boys. Aren't they so cute!

Here is Barrick holding Lucy's hand. This is his girlfriend.
Lucy kept sucking on Barricks hand and as you can see Barrick thinks it is pretty funny.

Here were our great supporters Scotty and Ben. Thanks for coming with us!

Barricks new favorite toys!

As you can see Barrick has discovered his tongue and he cannot get enough of it! For the past couple of days he is doing this all day long like a little lizard. He thinks it is pretty funny!
Scotty got this shot, he had been doing this for about ten minutes.
This is Scotty showing Barrick his tongue and he loved it! He was smiling and kept trying to grab Scottys tongue.
This is Barricks other favorite toy, he loves these water bottles! He played with it for over an hour on Sunday and as you can see Barrick uses all of his limbs to accomplish his goals. He would even let go of the water bottle with both hands and just hold it with his feet. We call these his gorilla feet because he uses them like a gorilla. Not to mention that his feet are huge!
I wonder where he got that huge big toe?

Happy Birthday Easton!

Saturday was Barricks first birthday party, it was his friend Eastons. It was such a fun party the theme was Rubber duckies. Ashley and Nate (Eastons mom and dad) did and awesome job, and also thanks to Diana for providing the place. It was such a blast they had fish for the rubber ducky, pin the beak on the rubber ducky and a bubble machine. Also Ashley made the cutest cake, it was a bathtub, facet and all with rubber duckies in it. Also they had nummy bird feed (good snacks) for everyone to eat. The hit of the party was the bubble machine which the kids absolutely loved! That was Barricks favorite he loved watching the bubbles. But a close second at least for all the men was Ben's huge projector tv. Thanks for entertaining our husbands!

Barrick and Easton. Easton was hugging Barrick but I was a little to late to catch it.
This is Easton showing the bubbles to Barrick and Lucy.
Bella and Barrick. Bella always has hugs and kisses for Barrick he loves them!

Barrick in his party hat.

This is Barrick and Lucy, they are only four days apart. I couldn't get a good picture where they were both looking at the camera, they were both too interested in the bubbles!
Last this is some of the kids popping the bubbles and watching them. This is Charlot, Savannah, Bella, Easton, Barrick and Nate. And Scotty and Rick can't forget about them. Thanks Ashley, Nate and Easton for a fun party!
