Part two.....

Just wanted to give some more updates over the last 14 weeks.

Barrick and I have spent most of our days like this, my little buddy takes good care of his mommy.

Scotty has been cleaning up a lot of these kind of messes, he would come home with these all over the house.

I have spent most of my time in the bathroom....

The reason, yes you have probably already guessed we are expecting!!

But the other surprise is there is not only one but two!! Here is the latest pictures of our sweet little babies. This is a picture from the top. You can see the top of there heads and some little hands.

Here are there individual photos. This is baby A.

Here is Baby B.

We couldn't be any more excited! So sorry for the lack of posts, and comments, these two little babies are the reason.

Catch up part one....

Well life has been a little crazy and very busy as of late for us. I have gotten very behind on updates and have been told my many family members that they are sick of not seeing updated posts. So I am doing this in two parts. Well to start Scotty finished his second year of medical school and we are now in Hawaii. Right before the end of the year we were lucky enough to have Spencer and Britany our friends from Colorado come and visit us. We had so much fun playing games, going out to dinner and visiting downtown. Barrick loved having them there and we miss having them close by.

Here is a picture of the four of us before they had to leave.

Barrick with Spencer and Britany. I know he looks like he could be there son with all that blonde hair.
Here is Scotty, Barrick and Spencer downtown while we were seeing all the memorails.

Thanks so much for coming out and seeing us we had so much fun!!!

Then shortly after it was off to Hawaii. We left on the 23rd of June and we have had so much fun!! We were able to come out here with our friends the Bahrs and we have all had a blast! The first couple of days were a little hard with having to make a six hour time difference. Barrick of course had the hardest time it was pretty hard to wake up at four in the morning and be up for the day. He eventually got adjusted and it has been so much better!!
I have lost count of how many times we have been to the beach, almost everyday. Barrick LOVES the ocean he was very hesitant at first but now can't get enough of it. Scotty also got to go surfing which I must say he did a pretty good job. We have also gone to many great restraunts and many more things which I will document later.

Here are just a few pictures of some of the things we did the first few weeks.

Here is Scotty and Barrick running from the big wave, this particular beach was on the big island and it was beautiful!! We had such a fun day playing in the waves and swimming!

This lady was on the airplane with us and was so nice she thought Barrick was so cute and so she decided to buy Barrick his first lei.
We went into Kona on the big island and went to Bubba Gump Shrimp (picture below) which was so good and so fun to sit right out on the ocean, and also walked up and down the beach.
Then is was off to Oahu were Scotty had to start work. Which hasn't been that bad he is usually off around 4:30 and has weekends off, so it has been wonderful. So during the day my friend Lauren and I play while the boys are at work.
Here is Barrick at Ala Monona a beach which we love because the waves aren't so big and it is so good for kids. Then of course we celebrated the fourth of July and it was a pretty low key day. We just stayed in all day we headed to Pearl Harbor in our matching fourth of July clothes.

Last here is the whole group watching the fireworks at Pearl Harbor. It was so neat to be there with all of the history surrounding us. It was definatly a night that reminded me of the amazing country we live in and the sacrifices that people make everyday for our country.

We are having such a great time and feel so blessed to have the oppurtunity to be able to be here. The second update will come soon.

Goodbyes are no fun!

Well May finally rolled around which at USU means another graduating class at Scottys medical school and this year meant us losing our neighbors! The Swensons have been our neighbors for two years and wow was it sad to see them go. There is nothing like having your friends be your neighbors, which made for a lot of fun nights. Oh how I will miss wii nights, game nights, dinners with each other, holidays, swapping the monitors so we could each have a night out. But more then anything I will miss just getting together and talking. You get the four of us together and we could talk all night long. But the thing that made it so sad was how much Barrick loved them! If he heard the kids outside he would scream with excitement. One of his few words is Jack, he just LOVES these kids. Every time he goes outside he would b-line it to there door and start knocking. Thanks so much for being such great friends and neighbors we are so lucky to have you as friends!
This was there last night in Maryland. We were lucky enough to have them over for dinner and let the kids play one last time. Here is Jack, Charlotte, Barrick, and Matt.

Here is Liz and Barrick!

Not such a cute picture of me but one of the few we have with them.
This was a couple of days before graduation and we were watching the kids. They were watching a movie and as you can see Barrick felt like Jack wasn't paying enough attention to him. Anna there baby girl isn't in any of the pictures she was just laying on the floor being her happy little self.

Last just a cute video of how much poor Jack was putting up with Barrick always wanting his attention. Thanks again Swensons we will miss you!

Fun family week!

Well this last week we were lucky enough to have family come out and visit! It was Alex's spring break so he drove down from Ohio and my dad was in DC on business so my mom decided to come also. We had so much fun! Alex came in a couple of days before my parents so we went to the circus and it was so much fun!! Scotty and I have gone almost every year since we have been married and this was by far the best year because Barrick LOVED it!! He danced and played to the music and anytime anybody clapped he clapped right along with them. He loved all of the animals especially the dogs. But I think more then anything he loved the sprite, pizza and funnel cake. A boy after my own heart!

Here we are at intermission. Barrick was being stubborn and wouldn't smile for the camera.

Here I got right in his face to try and get a good picture and he thought it was so funny to not look at the camera this was about as good as I got.

For some reason Barrick loved this part he was so excited he couldn't stop staring and clapping.
These next two pictures are my favorite, we were trying to get Barrick to do his crazy face with dad and as you can see it didn't quit work at the same time. But still very cute!

This was Barrick at his happiest moment. Seeing the cool acts going on while sitting with uncle Alex and a steady stream of sprite going in his mouth.

I couldn't get a good picture of Barrick with the elephant because once we set him down he b-lined it right for the elephant.

Then my mom and dad came in town and Scotty was able to steal away from studying for the circus and a dinner with the whole family. So the night my parents flew in we went out to eat and watched American Idol together.
Then my mom, Alex and I went to DC for a day, we did the Natural History Museum, the Air and Space Museum, and the Botanical Gardens. Barrick was such a trouper he went without a nap that day and was as good as gold. He is one who needs his sleep and he did great! Might I add that was the first time he has not taken a nap during the day, and he usually takes a 3 hour nap.
We also did some shopping and went out to a movie and just had so much fun! I forgot my camera when we went to DC so my pictures are limited.
Here is Grandma, Alex and Barrick. It was so fun for Barrick he was the happiest little guy every time he turned around he had someone to love on him and play with him. Here is Barrick cuddling up to Grandma. Thanks so much for coming it was such a fun week!

This is how we all felt when you left! We love you! (sad I know)

Also just some updates on life.

Scotty is finally coming to the end of his second year of med school which we couldn't be any happier. It has been a really tough year! He officially has two weeks left of classes and six finals. Then the biggest test is the USMLE step one scheduled for June 15, it is the biggest test he will ever take and once the 15th is over life will get a lot better. We are both burned out with this year, his 7am to midnight schedule is getting pretty tiring.

Aleese Well as for me life is busy being the mommy. Barrick is my buddy and does everything with me. Barrick and I are still doing the simulation center where we go and have mock doctors appt. with Medical students and Residents who work in the area. Other then that I am just taking care of my boys.

Barrick is as busy as ever! He loves climbing, eating candy, saying prayers, taking his clothes off, playing outside and with friends, playing monsters, making forts, reading stories, getting into everything and of course BALLS, BALLS, BALLS.

Fun Day!

Today Barrick and I finally got out of the house after a couple of days of rain and went with some friends to the National Building Museum in DC. Barrick had so much fun! Give him toys, a big room to run around in, and lots of kids to play with and he is one happy camper.

Here is Barrick playing in the play house and admiring the little boy in the fireman outfit! He just loves big boys, he thinks they are so cool!

Barrick kept climbing out of the window of the playhouse and as you can see he thought it was pretty funny!
He loved these big blocks! He was carrying them around everywhere showing off how big he was that he could lift them!
Here he is with his hard hat on ready to go work!
He loved these puzzles he sat and played with them for a while but then of course was more interested in standing on the table. Silly boy!

Last, we have to brag a little bit which all parents have the right to do, but I was pretty amazed at this. As you all know Barrick is obsessed with balls! As you can see by the picture he loves to collect them in the corner and throws them all day long!! I am not joking he really throws them all day! Last week Scotty and I were playing catch with one of his balls and he thought it was the coolest thing so he wanted to try, so of course we indulged him and it would bounce off his belly and he would laugh, then the last two days he has acutally caught them! It is so funny so we thought we would leave a video so you all could see how amazing we think he is!

Also as you can see at the end he leaves in a hurry due to his snot bubble, everytime he has a runny nose he runs to bathroom to get a tissue. Enjoy!

Caught!

While Scotty was getting Barricks pajamas he came in the office and found this. Yes Barrick is obsessed with anything electronic and he definitely scored here. It is amazing that in a few seconds within his grasp was the computer, i touch, zune, and both of our phones. This is when Scotty caught him, and he knew he was in trouble. Sometimes I wish he wasn't so good at climbing.

For the record I was not home!

Easter Fun!

I had so many pictures I didn't even know where to start! Well as you can see we had a fun filled weekend with family and friends. To start out we had an Easter party and the Neels house and we had so much fun! We had lunch, games, egg hunts and good company, it couldn't have been a more fun afternoon. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Here are the boys after the egg hunt. Braden, Barrick and Caelen.
Here is Barrick riding the dog, he could not get enough of him. Poor thing Barrick wouldn't leave him alone.

Here is Barrick and Braden playing on the stairs, they had a blast together.

Of course we had to have another one. I could not believe Barrick was not afraid, he LOVED him!

Then it was Easter morning and because of lack of time we did not decorate eggs until that morning but Barrick sure had fun!
Here he is coloring his egg.
Here he is with his basket and toys. He really did very well at the Easter egg hunt, after four of them he finally figured it out and just laughed walking around the room finding the eggs. He actually put them in his basket!
Here is another one of Barrick dying the eggs.

Here we are before church we were running late so we didn't get a very good picture.
Here is Barrick trying so hard to look at the camera, but he was tempted by the great outdoors.

Then later that night we got together with some friends and had dinner and an egg hunt. It was a little crazy, it was at our house and we were able to fit 16 adults and 13 kids in our town house! It was snug but it was so fun!
Here is Barrick out playing in the yard.

Here were the kids getting ready for the Easter egg hunt.

Barrick searching for those eggs.

Here we are after the hunt, which was at our neighbors.

Last here is our little boy right before bed. As you can see he had a wonderful day!
