Whats been going on?

What has been going on with us? A LOT!! I decided we would start with the bad stuff and get it over with.
A couple of weeks ago Barrick woke up one morning totally fine acting like his usual normal self, then by nap time he was running a fever around 100 so I gave him Tylenol and put him down for a nap. Three hours later he woke up and was burning up. I took his temp. and he was at 104. I started the usual alternating Tylenol and Motrin to break his fever and it wasn't breaking. Finally around midnight it broke and he fell asleep then a couple hours later he started screaming like I have NEVER heard before. It is the kind where it feels like your heart stops because you know something is really wrong. I ran in his room and he was shaking and he eyes were rolling around and darting all over the room. I screamed for Scotty and he came in and Barrick did it for a couple of min. Scotty told me he was probably having a Febrile Seizure and I heard the word Seizure and of course freaked!!! Scotty said we needed to take him to the ER just in case, so off they went.
Come to find out that is what Barrick had and it happens to children when they run a high fever. CRAZY RIGHT?? I was just so happy nothing was seriously wrong, but I that is the most scared I have ever been! I can handle broken bones or blood, but something where you don't know what is wrong, and the worry that it is something more serious was scary!!

So the couple of days after this is what we did all day. Watch movies and stay in our jammies all day.

Now for the fun things. Scotty decided he wanted to get Barrick an outdoor hoop and it was quite an adventure getting it and putting it up. Lets just say it was one of those nights where nothing goes right but in the end this was the finished product, yes it was at 10 clock two hours past his bed time but as you can see a very happy little boy.

Scotty also participated in research week at his school where all surrounding medical schools get together and present their posters. Here we are in front of Scotty's, yes the babies were here but just in the stroller.

Here is Barrick shaving his face which is a huge accomplishment. With Barrick and I spending all of our time together he was convinced he is supposed to shave his legs. Yes our bathroom doors are left open, and shower time seems like family time, don't judge:) when you are eight months pregnant with twins and can't bend over the bathtub you would put your two year in the shower with you too. So now Barrick is convinced he has to follow me everywhere, so for the longest time with his play shaving kit he would pretend like he would shave his legs and that made Scotty not so happy. So after a talk with dad and shaving together Barrick has moved on to the face.
Last but not least Lilly and Liam turned 5 months old yesterday!! Yes you heard me 5 MONTHS!! Crazy I know!
Fun facts

Lilly
-Very social she LOVES attention and when people talk to her.
-She falls asleep SO WELL! You just have to give her a binky and blanket and she is out!
-Daddy is still her favorite person!
-She talks all the time, but it sounds like she is growling at you. (Maybe she got that from Barrick).
-She is reaching for toys and playing with them.
-She enjoys rice cereal much more than Liam.
-She is much more olive complected than the boys. She looks like she already has a tan.
-She is much closer to sitting than Liam.
-She still has NO hair! Good thing she can wear a bow.
-When daddy walks in the room she won't look at anything other than him.
-She is much less tolerant of Barrick picking on her. (I don't blame her)
Liam
-Rolling from his back to his tummy now.
-Still so laid back.
-Screams his head off when we lay him down to nap.
-Hence why he has to cry himself to sleep.
-LOVES TV, When he is upset put him in front of the TV and he is a happy camper.
-Loves eating his hands and Lilly's too!
-Has a hard time falling asleep when out and about.
-Gets sat on at least once a day by Barrick.
-Has clammy little hands and feet.
-Loves mornings! He will just sit and talk in bed happily for a while.
-Has a huge mouth!! When he smiles it looks like he is going to eat you!

Mothers Day!

Mothers day was so WONDERFUL you know why??

1-First I get to be a mom to the three most adorable kids!!

2-When the babies woke up at 6 to eat Scotty rolled out of bed and fed them!
3-10 minutes after he was done feeding the babies Barrick woke up and he of course got up with him.
4-I slept until 8, and woke up to Barrick running in the bedroom screaming HAPPY MOMMY DAY!!
5- I snuggled with the babies why Scotty made breakfast, made sure some food made it in the mouth of our crazy little boy, then cleaned it up.
6-Scotty fed all three kids again and got Barrick and the babies dressed and ready for church while I took a long bath and read a book. Then when I came out of the bathroom there were three clean, sweet smelling kids with clothes ironed and looking so cute in their church clothes.
7-Church was wonderful, I got to sit and listen to all of sacrament meeting while Scotty took care of Barrick. Then as I left our last meeting I walked out in the hall to see Barrick running to me again screaming HAPPY MOMMY DAY, and handing me a picture of our family which he was kind of mad because the picture that he colored didn't have two babies.
8-We came home and Scotty made chicken pasta, rolls, and salad for dinner and again cleaned it up.
9-I was surprised with flowers Saturday with a card that said "We love you Mom! You are the best mother anyone could ask for! Daaabum! Love, Barrick, Lilly and Liam.(if you don't know Daabum is what Barrick says for yes). Then Scotty got me some books a Blue ray, and then he gave me a silver heart locket with pictures of the kids in it.

10- Last, I got to sit back and think about all of the wonderful women in my life both with and without kids, who have influenced my life and the life of my children. Thank you all for being such great examples!

But most importantly Happy mothers day to my mom and mom in law. We wouldn't have our little family and be the people we are today if it weren't for you guys! WE LOVE YOU!!

I love these pictures of them with the babies!

Kind of an old picture but I love it because it has both of them together with our little Barrick guy!

Nothing Better!!

I don't know about all of you but after a day full of Dora, Mickey, singing songs, playing outside, reading books, a lot of time outs, a lot of diaper changes, hugs, kisses, a lot of "nacks", and making and cleaning up meals, and so many special moments, I love to just sit back and drink up my three little kiddos. I am so blessed to have them and I don't ever want a day to go by that I take the blessing of motherhood for granted!! I wanted nothing more out of life then to be a mom and I have been blessed with the three most amazing kids!
This crazy fun energetic little guy!!
This chubby little thing!
And this sweet little princess!

Don't get me wrong, I have those days where I am absolutely stretched to the max and I feel like I can't do another minute let alone another night that Scotty is on call. (working all night at the hospital) Another night I am going to bed alone because I can't stay awake till 1 in the morning till he is done studying. Then only seeing Scotty for a total of 30 mins (with just the two of us) the fourth day in a row. Yes I get tired and worn out like everyone, but then everyday somewhere between 6-8 oclock, (for the most part) I hear the key unlocking the door and Barrick screaming daddy at the top of his lungs and sprinting as fast as his little legs can take him toward his favorite person in the world DADDY!!
I am the lucky one who gets to sit and watch these two reunite and just laugh, wrestle and watch as Barrick kisses him for about ten minutes. Then at this moment I feel like a whole person again. I don't know about all of you but when Scotty isn't around I don't feel whole as corny as that may sound! I am the luckiest person alive to have Scotty! There are not many husbands who send surprises in the mail just because they love you, or husbands who work limitless hours for their family, a husband who after working a 15 hour day and studies all night gets up to feed the babies so I can sleep in. A husband who loves his kids and tells me everyday he wants to be a stay at home dad, and I could go on and on!! I am so lucky and literally there is nothing better then him and our three kids!!
Just some of my favorite pictures of him with the kids!

What we have been up to!

1-We have been without a daddy a lot lately.
2-I am wishing Scottys surgery rotation was over!
3-I didn't know I could hear this phrase so many times a day! " Mama, I-yant daddy home!"
4-I am sad because we have two more friends who are graduating and moving, and reality is setting in that we are next!! It is such a bittersweet feeling! (-done with school, but leaving so many amazing friends!!)
5-Barrick loves being a big boy and taking care of the babies. So when I found him like this I was surprised and felt horrible because I think he was definitely trying to tell me something.

Sorry enough negativity.

6-On a happier note, we have been building a lot of forts lately!!
7- We have also spent a lot of time outside in nice warm weather. (WOW am I glad I am not living in Utah right now. I don't think I could have survived the weather this winter/spring!!)

8- This cute little baby rolled over last week!!

9- Both my two little babies are giggling all the time!!
10-Did I mention that I LOVE little girls in blue!! Especially this one!
11-I am the luckiest girl alive to be married to Scotty! He works so hard and sacrifices so much for our family!! On the 1st of May, it was the anniversary of our first date 11 years ago!! I love you babe!

4 months and 1 day!!

Yes it is that time of the month again and these two cuties are now 4 months old!!

Here are the stats:

Lilly
Weight: 12 lbs. 12 oz. 47% (up from 8% at 2 months!!)
Height: 60 cm 43%

Liam
Weight: 15 lbs. 4 oz. 77 %
Height: 64.5 cm 82%

I also put up some pictures for your viewing pleasure!

Here are those two cuties! I love the size difference!
Here is Barrick doing some tummy time with the babies!
You see Barrick looking at Lilly in this picture? Right after this snapped Barrick decided he wanted Lilly to roll over. Yes he just wanted to cheer for her because he does everytime, but as you can see by the next picture Lilly wasn't very happy about it!! So like always I had to put Liam between them, Barrick can do anything to Liam and he has this exact face!

Last, here they all are sitting together! Scotty came home last week and surprised them with these "baskeet ball cwothes" as Barrick calls them. Don't they all look so cute!

Fun little boy!!

Did I mention that Barrick is skinny?
Well you see this cute little boy and what looks like shorts on his skinny little self?

Well they just so happen to be what this cute little baby is wearing. Yes as Barrick would say. "Iyant to weer Liam pant." So there you go. My two boys that are two years apart fit in the same pants. They actually fit looser around Barrick's waist.

Also if you didn't know he is a little ocd, and a huge perfectionist. Here are just a few of his examples as of late.

I think Barrick had more fun organizing the Easter eggs then hunting for them, he still asks to play with them.

This is what I see on a typical day when I get Barrick out of his room after his nap. Yes he most definitely gets this from me. What can I say he loves a clean house.

Just the other day Scotty came home and left his jacket and bag on the floor and not two seconds later Barrick said. "Daddy it go up-sairs" and continued to sing "Clean up".

He also hates tags or logos of any kind on our shirts he says "that cucky"

He will pick the tiniest thing off the floor and throw it away.

He loves to sweep he wants to do it everyday!

He knows how to start the dishwasher, the dryer and the washer.

He will get wipes and wipe up any little thing.

He loves to put dirty dishes in the sink.

If you have never seen Barrick play basketball or any sport for that matter it is quite amazing! He can shoot and make a basket from across his room on about a 5 foot hoop, and he has been doing it since before he turned two. He has a lot of natural talent, but he works so hard at it!! This goes back to the perfectionist thing. When he first got his hoop if he didn't make it the first time he would just cry and cry so I of course told him that he needs to practice and he will get better, and practice he does. He shoots baskets for atleast an hour everyday. He is this way with anything he wants to accomplish!

He is a monkey he can climb anything, he could climb over the baby gate before he could walk!! He now can climb our bathroom cabinet which goes all the way to the ceiling. He can climb on top of the counters in the kitchen, he can get in the cribs and on top of the changing table. He is so smart!!

So in so many words I can't get enough of this crazy, fun, social, loving, feisty, sweet little boy of mine!! I am so lucky!

New Pictures of Babies!!

My friend Diana just got a new lens for her camera and these two cuties were the test subjects!! I LOVE these pictures she did such a great job!! I was shocked she got so many good ones because they were both tired especially Lilly!! Thanks Di we LOVE these!!

I love Lilly's half smile!!
Everytime I see this picture I laugh! I love his chubby little face!

Of course I had to add one of Barrick. Diana tried to get one of him but all she could get is the top of his head!! This is the extremes that I have to go to get a picture of his face! Even though it's hard it is worth it because he is so dang cute!!
