POW and BALLS!!

As you can see we have one little boy who cannot get enough of football, baseball, basketball basically anything that has to do with a ball. He owns every single kind of ball and feels as though he can't go anywhere without these precious belongings.

After getting some U of U apparel from gma and gpa and a matching Redskins Jersey with daddy this is all he wants to wear. Before Scotty left they started a tradition of wearing their Utah Jerseys on Saturday and Redskins on Sunday. I promised Scotty we would carry this tradition on with him being gone the last month and a half. Not only did this tradition include the clothes but Barrick and Scotty would scream POW and run and give each other a chest bump. So as you can imagine Barrick never forgets this and every Saturday and Sunday he yells DADA then POW and runs with all his might to give mama a chest bump. Let me tell you it is a sight, if you can imagine it gets quite interesting with my huge belly and a very active little boy sprinting towards me screaming POW!!!! And of course I LOVE it!!!

Here are some pictures of this cute little boy in his U of U jersey.

And of course his Redskins Jersey. He is saying cheese in this picture. His hasn't quite got the idea that you smile when you say cheese.
Of course Barrick with a football. You can't see Barrick without a ball at least a foot away from him.

Since he loves balls he always wants to wear the clothes that have balls on them. Here is where the story starts- So a couple of weeks ago I thought we were finally in the clear with the transition into the big boy bed. Then for about two weeks he decided that he had better things to do then take a nap. It was a battle everyday!! I don't have toys out for him to play with during nap time so there was nothing to do yet he would never fall asleep. Obviously after a couple of days he got bored and I would hear him get into his dresser and pull out clothes looking for ball apparel. He did this for a while then one day I heard a huge crash and crying...

Here is where I sprinted up my stairs as huge as a cow, scared to see what I would find, and sure enough he had knocked the dresser over, and not only that but he was naked and POO was smeared all over his room!!! He immediately stopped crying and grabbed his ball shirt and wanted me to put it on him!! I about died!!! I didn't know how to react, I was scared because his dresser fell over, I was mad because he smeared poo all over his room, and yet wanted to laugh because all he wanted was to wear a ball shirt!! Well we solved the dresser problem and moved it in his closet which he can't open, and he was fine for a couple of days then sure enough three days later another strip and POO day!!!! Wow is he something else. So Barrick now wears footed pajamas to nap in (he can't take those off) and he is finally back to napping and all of this for a simple ball shirt!!

Zoo and more!

Last weekend Barrick and I were lucky enough to go to the zoo with Nicole, Devin and Jonas. We were very excited and had so much fun! Being home without daddy has made for some long days, so THANK YOU so much for the invite we had a great time!
Here is Barrick looking oh so cute under his umbrella. It was a rainy day but I loved it, the cooler better!
Here is Barrick with Nicole and Jonas. I think Barrick has adopted them as his second parents, all day he would not let me hold him. Poor Jonas good thing he is so laid back!
Here is Barrick with Devin or in Barrick talk "Dadon". As you can see he loves Devin, not only does he say his name, (which is a lot) but Devin has made his list of people who he loves.
I have Barrick tell me everyday all of the people he loves and Devin is now on the list.
Here we are looking at the farm animals. Barrick was throwing a little bit of a fit because Devin was holding Jonas. Heaven forbid he holds his own son. Sorry Devin!
Last, here is Barrick mooing to the cow. I just love that cute little face!!

Thank you again for basically adopting us into your family. The meals, babysitting, walks, dinners, everything has made this time go by so much faster. We really could not have done this without you!!

I had to add this picture in because it has all of Barricks favorite things all in one picture. To start, Barrick had a doctors appt. last week where he was given a bottle and a baby and was told to feed the baby. Given that he really hasn't seen any babies fed with a bottle I was surprised to see him know exactly what to do with it. Since then something sparked and his favorite game to play is taking care of his teddy. He gets the wipes and a diaper and changes Teddy's bum, and he shares his snacks and his sippy with him all day. He also discovered Scottys missionary pictures, so all day long he looks through the pictures and finds Scotty in all of them. Last the phone, because that is how he talks to his daddy. He carry's it around and play talks to Scotty all day. WOW do we miss daddy!

Just some updates:

Scotty- He is doing his inpatiant internal medicine rotation and is starting to like it after a couple of weeks. He is on call every fourth night and works everyday all day so his schedule has been a little crazy. He hasn't loved this rotation but is excited to do outpatient here in DC where he can see a lot of the specialties he is interested in like Gastroenterology, Cardiology, and a few others. He is very busy and only getting busier. Right before he left he received a third calling in church to serve in the YM presidency. Honestly I don't know how he stays sane with everything he has on his plate. Barrick and I just miss him so much and can't wait for him to come home.

Me- I am doing great getting spoiled with all the Barrick love all to myself. I am also getting bigger and bigger! I am now 23 weeks and the babies are doing amazing! It is amazing to be pregnant with two and to feel movement only on one side of your stomach. They already have there little schedules of when they are awake. Her most active time is at about six in the morning, and his is at eleven at night. I am also very busy with Dr. appt. I am going in every two weeks between my regular ob and the paranatologist. I was also just released from the YW presidency so it has been nice to go to Relief Society. In the six years we have been married I think I have only gone a total of maybe three months.

Barrick- He is as cute and active as you can imagine. His daddy is Scotty need I say more! He is growing so fast! He is now in a big boy bed and has now officially fallen asleep in his bed for about four nights in a row!! He is staring to talk and loves anything to do with a ball. His first word in the morning is ball we spend hours shooting balls in his basketball hoop, playing catch, throwing them down the stairs and playing t ball. He has also been living at the doctors office like me. He is still very skinny and because of that we have had to go to many appts. He also has a hernia. Which he is having surgery in November to get it repaired. He is healthy and happy just skinny but they have to rule everything out for his safety. We just love this little guy he makes life so fun!!

Six years! (This one is for you)

I did not want today to slip by and not tell Scotty Happy Anniversary! We have been married six years today. Unfortunately we have to spend today apart, come to think of it this year we have been apart on Valentines day, Scottys birthday, our anniversary, and we will still be apart on my birthday. And the reason behind our time apart is because I have the most amazing husband who works so hard and sacrifices so much for our family!
Scotty I love you so much! I have to say I am the luckiest girl to be able to be married to you. Thanks for being the most amazing person I know. We miss you so much and we are counting down the days till we get to see you again.

Summer in Utah!! (Very long post)

Barrick and I were lucky enough to go to Utah after Hawaii and wow what a summer!! We were there for almost a month and our trip was full of lots of fun, love and good times. Thanks everyone for making our trip so memorable, we miss you all!!
Here are just a few of the fun things we did while it Utah.

Barrick with his cousin Khloe doing "Horsey" with grandma this was one of the few things that Barrick did as often as we aloud it.
The other game was shooting hoops with Grandpa. No matter what time of day once grandpa was home from work they were shooting. Also if you know Barrick he is non stop he really could do this for hours.
Here we are at a party in SLC for Barrick's Great Grandpa Stewart's sister. Barrick with Grandma Stewart and Kallii.
Here is Grandpa Stewart with his family.
Of course one with Grandpa Stewart.
We went up to our cabin in Christmas meadows for the weekend and had a blast!! Here is Barrick with Gma and Gpa and Kylee going for a walk.

Here is Barrick with Gpa. Uncle Morgan made a swing for the kids in the cabin when it was raining, and as you can see it was a hit.
The next two are pictures of Barrick in the Razor. He found a new love for cars because he was aloud to sit on laps and help the person drive. He now is obssesed with keys and thinks he needs to drive anytime we leave the house.

Barrick and Aunt Ariane climbing on the rocks in Flinstone Village.
Barrick sword fighting with his cousin Kendrick.
Barrick with some of his cousins. As you can see Barrick was spoiled with loves. Anywhere he went he had someone there catering to him.
Barrick with his favorite buddy Muki. Muki put up with a lot from Barrick. He became his personal pillow and snuggler, Barrick was also convinced he could ride muki. Anywhere Muki was Barrick was right there next to him.
The next two pictures are when we found out we were having a boy and a girl. My family came over and we wrapped up the two outfits and had Barrick open them.

Barrick gettng loves from Kylee and of course Muki had to be in the picture.
This night we went up to my parents ward camp out and had dinner. Barrick had to wear his matching U of U shirt with Gpa.
Here we are at the Davis county fair. We went with Gma, and my sister Ariane and her kids. We had such a fun day!! Barrick and Addy getting there picture taken.
Here is Barrick feeding the goat.
We then had a fun filled day at the Sandy Aquarium. Here is Barrick showing me the fish with his cute little fish face.
Barrick with his cousins Ammon and Carter.
We had our annual Lagoon day with the Florence side of the family. Barrick LOVED it this was his first time he was able to ride the rides. He was a little hesitant at first but mastered all of the rides including Puff. Here is Barrick and Kellen.

I'll start with Hawaii!

Well where to start, first of all do you know how hard it is to put six weeks of Hawaii into a few pictures!! I was able to accomplish that. I basically did one picture for all of the bigger events we did, so here we go.

We went to the Wakiki Aquarium and it was a very fun afternoon. Everything we read said that we should see this and I will say it was fun but I am glad we had a military discount. Yes I know I look HUGE in this picture, and only about 14 weeks. (it is mostly the shirt and the way I am standing).

Here we are on a hike up to Wiamaia falls. It was beautiful!

Here we are at Hickam Air force Base, we came with some friends and looked at some of the buildings that were hit during pearl harbor.
Why Scottys parents were here they treated us to a dinner cruise leaving out of Waikiki and it was such a great night!! The food and entertainment were excellent!

This night we went and had a BBQ with Scott and Valeri at there place. Food, fun, family, friends, swimming, and games doesn't get much better!
We also spent a day at Pearl Harbor not the funnest picture because our camera died and we used Valeri's camera so all of those pictures are on Scottys laptop.
We went and watched the fireworks on Waikiki and ate dinner on the beach!
Night out with the other med students. We went bowling and had dinner. It was very fun, I think Barrick loved it the most, all of these adults giving him anything he wanted.
One of the many nights out to a fun restraunt with great friends.
One afternoon we went up to the Hawaii temple and walked around the grounds and the visitors center. It was beautiful!!
Just a cute picture at the beach of this handsome little guy!!
Our last day at the beach. I know I look horrible!
And last this was our last day with Daddy. Scotty had to stay for a bit longer why we went to visit family in Utah.

We had such an amazing time in Hawaii, it was so nice to have a couple of weeks where Scotty had a normal 9 to 5 job. We have never had that in the six years we have been married and WOW did we feel spoiled, and the best part about it was spending that time in HAWAII!!
