Mothers Day!

This Mothers Day was much better in comparison to last year considering Liam was in the hospital, and Scotty was with him.  So to have my whole family together was wonderful!!  I got to sleep in and was woken up with a  yummy omelet, toast, juice, happy smiling kids and love notes included.
We added four additional kids to our crew after church and had a wonderful night with lots of fun!

Scotty LOVES nice chocolates, me not so much.  He has tried for years to find a kind that I love, but I told him I would just prefer M&Ms.  So this year he found a Living Social deal to have your kids faces put on M&Ms and I LOVE them!!  Nothing better then a good candy with those cute faces on them!!

Being a mom is the hardest job ever, but man alive do I love these kiddos.

Mother/Daughter Pajama Party!

Our church planned a fun Mother/Daughter pajama party.  We had a fun night with dessert, painting nails, and butterfly crafts.  We decided to leave Briony home since it was pretty late and Lilly and I had such a fun night!!
We were both supposed to have a crazy face in this picture, and Lilly was not having it.  She thought I was pretty crazy though!  When she saw the pictures she told me "Mom you have a really, really crazy face, and Lilly is a pretty fairy."

 My sweet little Lilly!
She was very upset he butterfly wouldn't fly, so we decided to make it fly by throwing it.  She had quite the fun time flying that butterfly!
I love this little girl!  She brings the best out in her brothers and is the sweetest most enjoyable little thing to be around!!  We love you Lilly!

Preschool Field Trip!

The end of year Preschool Field trip to Carriage Hill was a couple of weeks ago.  The kids were so excited especially for the candy store.  I had prepared Lilly for over a week that we were going to see animals, and she talked a big game claiming she loved animals and that she was excited.  Well.....
This is what I got.  She was hysterical!!!  She HATED the field trip and screamed and sobbed the whole time!!  I thought it was hilarious!!!  I think some of the parents thought I was a mean parent because I laughed, but Lilly and I had a lot of good conversations about why we have animals and that they are a blessing from Heavenly Father and she eventually calmed down.
Barricks favorite part was the baby pigs.  He thought they were so cute but very stinky!!
Briony was all smiles all afternoon even with it during her nap time!!  She is such a trooper!
One with all of the kids!  Yes this is as good as I could get.  Way too much going on around them.

Liam was in heaven.  All of my kids have always been very timid around animals, but I think Liam is starting to get over it.  He was so much fun!!  I told him to chase the chickens and he had everyone around us laughing.  He had no fear and was just giggling.  I was a little nervous I HATE birds and I was afraid I might have to rescue him from an angry bird attack!  It was such a fun afternoon, and the kids were more then happy to leave with their own little bag of candy.

Getaway!

Scotty and I were able to get away for a night to go to a wedding of two of his friends and fellow residents.  It was so needed and we had such a great time.  We left Friday and stayed in Cincinnati then drove the next day to Kentucky to the wedding that evening.  We got to Cincinnati and went to a delicious Korean food place and walked around, people watched, then went to bed!
Being back in a bigger city made us miss DC.  Dayton is wonderful and much more our pace of life right now, but it was fun to visit a bigger city.
This little square was fun we sat and watched people and listened to some pianist at a Dueling piano bar.  We realized we are old when at 1030 we were so exhausted and had to force ourselves to stay out till 11 then called it a night.

The best part is trying new foods!
We are always game for a good crepe place, and this one did not disappoint!
Sushi at the Korean food place.  They serve is flaming and I wasn't quick enough to catch a picture.
One of the things we miss most about MD/DC is the delicious cupcake places.  We haven't found one here in Dayton that compares but this little cupcake shop in our hotel was AMAZING!!

Then it was off to Kentucky.  We really wanted to go to a horse race, and we missed it by 1 day!!  We were so bummed, but it was fun to go walk around the track and see the world of horse racing.
Here we are at Keeneland race track.  It was beautiful!
We went and saw a movie, then it was off to the wedding.  It was such a fun night the ceremony was so sweet, and the rest of the night was full of food, fun, and lots of dancing!
Here are all the pediatric residents who were able to make the wedding.  Such a fun group of people.

Fiesta Fun!

Scotty and I went to a Fiesta fundraiser for our churches youth group.  They provided babysitting,  dinner and dancing, it was such a fun night.  I think we were some of the only people who danced, but we are always up for a fun night of friends, food and dancing!

The rest of our Vacation.

The rest of our week aside from going to Great Wolf  Lodge we had some fun around Dayton.  All the pictures are terrible but our only proof that we did them.
We took the kiddos bowling, and they had so much fun!!  They could have stayed all day!

Then Scotty got really sick and was stuck in bed for the next couple of days so I did some fun things with the kids while he was in bed.
Lilly, Liam and I had a fun lunch date and went to a movie.

 They both LOVED it!
Barrick and I went shopping and out to eat at his favorite restaurant Red Robin.  Every time we go Barrick asks where our family lives and loves to color all the different states where he has relatives.  This particular night he showed me his paper, and said these are the people I love the most mom.  He said "The red one is our family, the blue one is Gma and Gpa Nelson, the yellow is Gma Stewart and the Red one is Gpa Stewart in heaven, me and Daddy sure miss Gpa."  Such a sweet little boy!

Give Barrick a TV he can stand on and a chocolate kids shake and he is one happy little boy.

It was such a fun vacation!

Great Wolf Lodge

I was looking back through my photos and realized aside from being about 10 posts behind I forgot to post our last vacation which was months ago!!  Of course the kids begged to go back to Great Wolf Lodge so we planned another fun filled swimming trip.  It was a blast and the kids were even more brave then the last time.

The morning we were supposed the leave I found this note by my bed.  "Mom you forgot we were going to Great Wolf Lodge"  Silly boy.  His spelling and note writing is a daily thing and obviously has improved even more in the last couple of months.
Pulling up to Great Wolf Lodge.
All the kiddos after a long day of swimming.
Bedtime story.  Here they are all howling like the wolf.
Our room was so fun!!  The kids had their own little lodge inside our room.  with beds and tv.  They LOVED it, and so did we!
Here is Lilly so excited to head out to the swimming pool!
